Ethan's Official Arrival Date!

FYI: this is the day that Ethan was to have been induced.  (either today or on the second...)

This is the day Ethan was "scheduled" to be here with us.  He had his own plan and came early.
What?  An Edworthy?  Having his own plan for how the world should be?  Bah!

Well, welcome to Earth anyway, little dude.  You've been here for a little while now, we're keen to learn all about you over the next 100 years.  Keep a goin'.  Keep a growin'. ...

 

and keep your chin up, little one. Your mom and dad aren't actually trying to kill you at EVERY diaper change. Just so ya know.

Steampunk Baby Shower!

Oh let's just forget about the blogging for a moment and enjoy some good old fashioned pictures, okay? What a great day it was!

 

Ethan is 11 days old.

He was "expected" on/near October 2nd.  Ish.

Dude runs on his own schedule, that's for sure!

A lil' trivia...

After a quick chat with Nikki, everyone's doing really well!

Our littlest hero weighed 6lb 11oz at birth and had (as you can see) a full head of hair to go with his ten perfect fingers and his ten perfect toes.

Due to a standard preemie-type situation, he's rockin' the jaundice right now BUT he gets to sleep in a kickass space-bed to help take care of that.  Leave it to an Edworthy to show up already sepia-toned, eh?

Well anyway, that's the latest.  OH!  and also, the little dude has a name now too:

Ethan Mark Edworthy

 

So join me again in another shushed round of "huzzah"s (I think he's sleeping right now) and send your love and congratulations to the young Mr and Mrs Edworthy for their fine contribution to the future of this planet.

***Baby Shower Update***  Sept. 15 @ 2:00     it's still on!

Nikki and Pete agree that having the Maryland-based baby shower on the 15th is still appropriate, due to the strength and robustness of both mother and son.  We'll have hand-washing stations available, too, so as to keep that new-baby smell as fresh as could be!
